CM Shri Chouhan at Kirar Samaj’s convention at Bareli
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is being considered as to in which form assistance should be given to farmers on procurement of wheat on support price. The Chief Minister was addressing national convention of All-India Kirar Samaj at Bareli in Raisen district today. He said that his government is committed to ensuring service to all and development in tandem with all.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh’s growth rate of 10 percent is maximum in the country and we are on top in the country in development. He said that the state has achieved 24.99 percent agriculture growth rate, which is highest in the world. The Chief Minister said that he realises farmers’ difficulties. Therefore, he has implemented several schemes to make agriculture profitable. Referring to Re. one per kg wheat and rice for the poor, he said that the government is committed to uplifting living standards of the poor.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that schemes like Yuva Swarogzar Yojana and Higher Education Loan will bring about change in society. He urged people not to consider girls inferior to boys. The government has implemented schemes for welfare of girls right form their birth upto marriage. Shri Chouhan said that 50 percent seats in urban body elections have been reserved for women. It is satisfactory that 59 percent women have been elected in recent elections. The Chief Minister urged people to ensure de-addicted society saying that no new liquor shop has been opened in the state during last 4 years. Shri Chouhan said that development of state can be gauged by the fact that state’s budget was only Rs. 20 thousand crore when we had come to power in the state, which has been increased to Rs. one lakh 31 thousand crore now.
Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh also spoke on the occasion. Udaipura MLA Shri Ramkishan Patel, representatives of the community and other people were present on the occasion.
