Like other states, Voters ID cards will be linked with Aadhar Number in Madhya Pradesh. Office of the Chief Electoral Officer is making preparations for this. Harda is the only district in the state where about 90 percent EPIC cards have been linked with Aadhar. This was informed by Chief Electoral Officer Shri Jaideep Govind at a meeting held to dispose of audit objections. He stressed the need for expediting work to link Voter IDs with Aadhar in other districts also.

On the instructions of Shri Govind, division-level meetings are being held for disposal of audit objections since February 2. Meeting of observers for Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions was held today.

The CEO said that all districts, where audit objections have been raise regarding election expenses, should dispose them of at the earliest. The budget amount made available for election expenses will be adjusted. Allocated amount must be utilized before end of financial year. Honorarium to BLOs, SLAs, trainees etc. should be paid at the earliest in the districts where it has not been paid so far. Amount of National Voters Day should also be adjusted. Shri Govind directed districts to dispose of complaints registered at call centre at the CEO Office.

It was informed that on the directives of Election Commission of India, service voters’ lists as on January 1, 2015 are being revised. In the next phase of revision till ensuing March 15, concerning records/declarations will be sent to DEOs/CEO. Draft of electoral rolls will be prepared from April 15 and following verification of concerning record, it will be sent through CEO to concerning elector registration officers after May 20. Elector registration officers can amend the lists by June 5. Electoral rolls will be finally published on June 15. Directives in this regard have also been sent to the state government, DGP, Colonel Bhopal Sub-area, CISF, Station Commander Gwalior, Pachmarhi, Jabalpur and MHOW.
