State-level Republic Day function

Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav unfurled the national flag and took salute of parade on the occasion of Republic Day at Lal Parade Ground here yesterday. On the occasion, several departments took out tableaux on the theme of “Nurturing the Future-Madhya Pradesh for Children”.

Tableau of Tribal Welfare Department displayed the theme “Educate and Move Ahead-Touch New Horizons” and depicted tribal children becoming self-reliant taking advantage of welfare schemes. The tableau also displayed tribal students’ foreign study scheme and their outstanding success in Union Public Service Exams.

Tableau of Horticulture and Food Processing Department displayed children imbibing training of grafting/budding method. Energy Department’s tableau focused on energy for future. Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department presented tableau focusing on child nourishment and organic food grains for environmental conservation. Sports & Youth Welfare Department’s tableau displayed theme of “Har Kadam Apni Jeet”.

Prevention of crimes against children was depicted in the tableau of Home Department. Bal Mitra Yojana and special juvenile police unit have been introduced in the state to provide fear-free atmosphere to children. The tableau also depicted 1098 and 1090 Helpline for responding to complaints pertaining to children. Jail Department’s tableau depicted all-round development of prisoners’ children. In the tableau of Bio-diversity and Bio-technology Department, depicted the theme “Children for Madhya Pradesh”. Skill Development Mission was depicted in the tableau of Technical Education Department.

Narmada Valley Development Authority focused its tableau on all-round development of children. Tourism Department’s tableau depicted exploration journey based on declaration to observe 2015 as Tourism Year and children’s knowledge about tourism in Madhya Pradesh. Animal Husbandry Department’s tableau depicted that “cow’s milk is the first diet of children after mother’s milk”. Children’s participation in Swachchhata Abhiyan and Jan-Dhan Yojana were depicted in the tableau of Panchayats & Rural Development Department. Tableau of Women and Child Development Department depicted the theme “Healthy, Nourished, Safe Childhood” focusing on complete development of children like safety, health, nutrition, education and sanitation. Tableau of Office of the Chief Electoral Officer depicted increasing participation of women in electoral process and efforts of rural and urban women for strengthening democracy.

Public Health and Family Welfare Department’s tableau depicted health services rendered for children. Public Health Engineering Department displayed domestic piped water schemes. In Forest Department’s tableau, children’s integrated development and lives of rural and urban children and improvement in environment have been depicted. Tableau of Commerce, Industries and Employment Department displayed Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami, Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Srijan Karyakram under Skill Development Department.

Social Justice and Disabled Persons’ Welfare Department’s tableau depicted “Nishakton Ke Sapne Apar, Sakaar Karegi Madhya Pradesh Sarkar” and schemes for development of disabled persons through various schemes and programmes. School Education Department’s tableau displayed virtual class Yojana, yoga activities, Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools/Hostels (KGBV) and Bal Sabhas for children’s all-round development. Labour Department’s tableau displayed concept of comprehensive development of children under the theme “Nurturing the Future.”

First prize was given to the tableau of Social Justice and Disabled Persons’ Welfare Department, second to Jail Department and third prize was given to School Education Department’s tableau.
