News Relic, BHOPAL:
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a letter to Union Minister for Mines Narendra Singh Tomar has urged him that the iron ore areas in Bijawar, Bada Malehra and Bakswaha tahsils of Chhatarpur district, on which mining concessions have not been sanctioned, should be reserved in favour of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
The Chief Minister said in the letter that Madhya Pradesh’s natural wealth needs to be value added in the state itself. It will create job opportunities and pave way for development of mineral areas.
The Chief Minister said that following reservation of these areas, the state government will ensure time-bound action for giving prospecting permission on SAIL’s applications as per rules. The state government will make every possible effort to set up a steel plant in Madhya Pradesh.
