Central Region Power Distribution Company will hold electricity service camps at 356 places in February to dispose of complaints of power consumers. The company has directed to provide all facilities at these camps in the areas under its jurisdiction. The company has urged consumers to get their complaints redressed at these camps.
Apart form redressing consumers’ problems pertaining to replacement of dysfunctional meters, error in meter reading and non-receipt of bill, new connections will also be sanctioned on the spot at the camps. If a faulty transformer has not been replaced even after depositing amount, process to replace it will be taken at the camp.
Action will also be taken at the camps to give permanent power connections to concerning applicants under Farmer Subsidy Scheme from transformers installed under IYT Scheme. Transformers of consumers having paid cent percent dues will be re-installed. Sanction for increase in load of existing power connections will also be accorded at the camp.
Reward scheme for changing temporary pump connections into permanent ones
A reward scheme has been launched for changing temporary pump connections into permanent ones in entire jurisdiction areas of the company till April 30. The first prize carries two motorcycles, second prize fridge and third prize is conversion of consumer’s temporary pump connection into permanent one. Every consumer will be given a coupon number, which he has to preserve. Prizes will be declared through draw of lot after conclusion of the scheme.
Even before date of electricity service camp to be held at power distribution centre level, an agriculture consumer may submit application containing complaint and obtain a receipt thereof. If a consumer wishes, he can also get registered and obtain complaint number from telephone number 1912 for toll-free number 18002331912 of company’s consumer service centre (call centre).
