Concrete steps taken to provide education, jobs

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh government has ensured concrete steps to provide education and jobs to youths through “Make in Madhya Pradesh” campaign. 
The Chief Minister was responding to a public reception accorded to him at Chhindwara on Monday. He announced Rs 50 lakh each for Nagar Palikas and Rs 25 lakh each to Nagar Panchayats of Chhindwara district.

The Chief Minister said that urban areas will be made slum-free. Houses will be provided to the urban poor living in slums. For this, the state government will construct 5 lakh houses in urban areas in next 5 years. At Global Investors Summit, industrialists have been invited to set up industries in the state so that youths can get employment. He said that the state government will give bank loan guarantee on higher education loan to youths studying in private medical colleges. He said that students of every section of society will be given scholarship and admission in hostels.

Chouhan said that Chhindwara will be developed as a modern city by chalking out a master plan. He inaugurated and laid foundation stone of construction works costing over Rs. 157 crore. He distributed assistance worth Rs. 165.16 lakh to 6 beneficiaries of various government schemes. At the outset, the Chief Minister was accorded a public reception. On behalf of people of Chhindwara, he was offered a turban and “Gada”.
