Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that exercising rights for
public welfare while discharging duties is the mantra of good
governance. He said that Madhya Pradesh has made achievements as a
result of good governance. Chouhan announced to include 26 new public
services under Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act.
The Chief
Minister was addressing a Good Governance Day function at Samanvay
Bhavan here on Wednesday. It is noteworthy that the Central Government
has declared birthday of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Good
Governance Day. Chouhan administered pledge to public servants to
maintain highest standards of good governance and making administration
public-oriented, accountable and transparent.
The Chief Minister
said that schemes like public welfare camps, public hearings, 181 CM
Helpline, e-Tendering, e-Payment have been implemented in the state for
good governance. He said that excellent officers and employees will be
rewarded and negligent ones punished.
Public Services Management
Minister Bhupendra Singh said that it is the result of concept of good
governance that Madhya Pradesh has shrugged off the tag of sick state
and is scaling new heights of development now.
The Chief Minister
awarded officers and employees for excellent work. He also felicitated
Ujjain Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, Indore Collector Akash Tripathi,
Khandwa Collector MK Agrawal and senior officers of lead banks for
excellent works under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana.
