Energy Minister Shri Shukla inspects crops losses
Energy and Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that survey of crops affected by excessive rains will be completed within 3 days. He said that relief to affected farmers will be provided soon. Shri Shukla inspected crop loss in Rewa today. Farmers of village Itora informed that 80 percent crops of gram and masoor have been damaged.
Shri Shukla held discussions with affected farmers at villages Sagra, Madi and Delhi. He directed Revenue Officers to complete survey by holding camps round-the-clock. Shri Shukla informed farmers that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced Rs. 2000 crore relief for them. The Energy Minister said that affected farmers will be provided wheat and rice at the rate of Re. 1 per kg for next 8 months. Even if they do not marry off their daughters under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, they will be provided Rs. 25 thousand each for this. Shri Shukla said that the farmers who have suffered 50 percent loss will be given compensation for 100 percent loss which is Rs. 15 thousand per hectare.
Energy Minister Shri Shukla participated in video-conferencing held to assess crop loss at Rewa NIC room. He suggested that compensation to farmers should be made online for immediate transfer of relief.
