State-level committee to re-fix upper age limit

The state government has constituted a state-level committee to consider proposal for re-fixing upper age limit of employees of Police Department.

The committee will consider fixation of upper age limit at par with Home, Jail, Excise, Transport and Forests Departments. The committee will be headed by Principal Secretary Home. Its members will include Principal Secretaries of General Administration, Forests, Commercial Taxes, Jail, Transport and Secretary Finance. The committee will submit its report within a week after examining the proposal.
