Fair price shop in every Gram Panchayat

Minister Kunwar Shah at review meeting of divisional officers

Food & Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that fair price shops will be opened in every Gram Panchayat. Besides, a salesman would be managed for every shop. He instructed officers to strengthen system of surprise inspections of Public distribution shops. Kunwar Shah was addressing a division level meeting at Gwalior today. The Food Minister stated that Food Safety Act will be implemented from March 1, 2014. For it, he also instructed officers to complete necessary preparations within time limit. He said that all BPL & Antyodaya card holder families of 22 categories are to be brought under the purview of the Act. He said that no eligible person should be deprived of it.

Wheat E-Procurement system

Food & Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Shah also stated to certify registration of willing farmers compulsorily till March 10, 2014. He instructed officers to keep complete transparency in wheat E-Procurement. Minister Kunwar Shah also directed to examine weighing scales before farmers everyday. The Food Minister instructed officers to take strict actions against those who misuse domestic gas. He said that the result of petrol-diesel sample investigation should be made public on time and information should be given to public. Secretary Food & Civil Supplies Dr. Manohar Agnani gave information regarding preparations for implementation of Food Safety Act.
