Energy Minister Shri Shukla reviews progress of works
Energy & Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has directed to complete rural development works within prescribed time-limit. He also directed for cent percent utilisation of budget. The Energy Minister was reviewing progress of rural development works at Rewa today.
The Energy Minister said that Sudoor Gram Sadak Evam Khet-Sadak Yojana is a priority scheme of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Its pace should be accelerated so that villagers get pucca road in village interior and their traffic is smooth. Work is underway on 89 roads in Rewa district. He also directed to pay wages under rural development schemes timely. The Energy Minister expressed concern on slow pace of Grameen Aawas Yojana under which 6000 houses are being constructed in the district.
The Energy Minister said that round the clock power is available in the state. Now, villagers should be motivated to establish maximum number of cottage industries. The meeting also reviewed progress of loan cases being sanctioned by banks under rural development schemes.
