Scientists from all over country to participate
For informing farmers about latest techniques, a 3-day Agriculture Science Fair will be held at Burhanpur in the premises of Krishi Upaj Mandi on Renuka Mata Road from March 20 to 22.
The fair has been organised to make farmers aware about pesticide-free farming to maintain environmental balance, durable agriculture, ground water augmentation, banana crop management, grow pomegranate and strawberry as alternative to cotton crop etc. Various companies and institutes will display different inputs and agriculture techniques over 80 stalls. Practical solutions to agriculture and farmers problems will be solved through lectures and discussions by country’s noted experts. About 1500 farmers will take part in the fair daily. Apart from Agriculture, information about other departments will also be given.
Discussions will be held on various models to get maximum income round the year from farming by small and marginal farmers. Experts will inform and motivate farmers about milk trade, goat rearing, poultry, sericulture, agriculture, horticulture, forestry and other agriculture-based means like lac production and honeybee rearing.
