State government committed to provide basic facilities

Public Relations, Energy & Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Development Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that the state government is committed to provide basic amenities in remote areas of the state. He said that the state government has launched Sudoor Gram Sampark Tatha Khet-Sadak Yojana to provide road facility in small villages and for access upto farmers’ fields. Shri Shukla was laying foundation stones for 3 roads costing Rs. 55 lakh 85 thousand to be constructed with MNREGA funds at Rewa on Thursday. The Public Relations Minister also directed to complete construction work with quality within 2 months.

Shri Shukla said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken the historic decision of launching villages Sudoor Gram Sampark Tatha Khet-Sadak Yojana. This is a novel programme. Due to it, villagers will get rid of mud in small villages. It will also be easier for farmers to reach their fields. The Public Relations Minister said that villagers’ living conditions will improve with availability of roads, power, water etc. in villages. Shri Shukla said that in the same series work to convert kuchcha roads into JSB roads is being taken up in majra-tolas and cluster of farms.

The collector informed that 2065 roads have been identified in Rewa district of which 179 roads are in Rewa Janpad.
