Reward on good work, action on negligence

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Maya Singh reviewed schemes of Women’s Empowerment Directorate here today. Smt. Singh said that benefit of departmental schemes must reach beneficiaries properly. Good work will be rewarded while action will be taken on negligence. Principal Secretary Shri B.R. Naidu, Commissioner Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava and departmental officers were present on the occasion.

Smt. Maya Singh said that the department should maintain the successes achieved by it and stand first among departments. She directed officers to put schemes into practice by touring districts. She asked officers to interact with beneficiaries in villages, redress their problems and implement their suggestions. Smt. Singh said that it is the responsibility of the department to uplift living condition of women and children and ensure their financial and social empowerment. Social evils should be eradicated and good work should be done towards social reforms. She said that utmost efforts will be made through government level to accelerate pace of departmental schemes’ implementation. Smt. Singh directed to complete 100-day action plan within time-limit.
