RTO Ujjain suspended

On the directives of Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Ujjain RTO Shri H.R. Rohit has been suspended. The RTO was found guilty of delaying sanction of permanent permit for passenger bus of an applicant. The Chief Secretary has started strict action against officers who keep pending people’s justified demands. He has directed not to keep pending people’s applications and take early action on them.

The case came to the fore during the Chief Secretary’s meeting with common people on Thursday. Shri Jaiprakash Sharma of Dewas had complained in his application on November 28, 2013 that he had got financed 3 passenger buses in the name of his wife Smt. Lata Sharma, which are ready for plying. He had applied for permanent permit for Dewas-Bagli route, which has been kept pending without any concrete ground.

The Chief Secretary had directed Ujjain division commissioner Shri K.C. Gupta to enquire into the complaint, which was found true. Taking action following report of Ujjain division commissioner, charge of RTO has been given to Deputy Fair Officer (Additional Collector) Shri Gopal Dad. Permit has been granted to Shri Jaiprakash Sharma. Process has been started to dispose of other pending cases.
