Directive to enforce model code in Sagar and Majhauli (Sidhi)

With the State Election Commission announcing schedule for by-elections for Mayor of Sagar Municipal Corporation and Chairman of Majhauli Nagar Parishad in Sidhi district, model code of conduct has come into force in concerning urban areas.

The state government has issued directives to all departments, heads of departments, Sagar division commissioner and collectors of Sagar and Sidhi to ensure enforcement of model code of conduct in concerning urban areas till declaration of election results.

If necessary, voting for Mayor of Sagar Municipal Corporation and Chairman of Majhauli Nagar Parishad will be held on January 6 and results will be announced on January 8.
