Design of NOTA finalised

Pink rectangular in Vidhan Sabha elections

Design of “None of the Above” (NOTA) option going to be used for the first time has been finalised by Election Commission of India. NOTA will be written with pink colour with black background in capital letters of English. Since ballot papers are of pink colour in Vidhan Sabha elections, NOTA will also be written with pink colour in capital letters. In Lok Sabha elections where ballot papers are of white colour, NOTA word will be written in capital letters of English with white colour.

NOTA will be displayed in the last panel after “None of the Above”. NOTA will be displayed in the uniform pattern on ballot papers printed in all languages but the words “None of the Above” will be printed in the same languages in which ballot papers are printed. If ballot papers are printed in more than one language, they will carry translation of “None of the Above” on them in all those languages but NOTA will be displayed in a uniform pattern with all linguistic forms.
