Schedule for electoral rolls’ publication released

Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission has released schedule for publication of electoral rolls for by-election-2013 of Mayor of Sagar Municipal Corporation. Electoral rolls will be prepared as on January 1, 2013.

According to the schedule, in the first phase, Registration and Assistant Registration Officers will be appointed on October 17, 2013 and employees will be selected and trained to prepare preliminary electoral rolls on October 21, 2013. Preliminary electoral rolls will be prepared on October 23, 2013. One set of preliminary electoral rolls will be submitted in the office of district election officer on October 30, 2013. Printing of preliminary electoral rolls will be on November 8, 2013.

In the second phase, electoral rolls will be released and publicised, copies of them will be sent to MP, Vidhan Sabha MLAs, Mayor, Chairman and corporators of Municipal Corporation and recognised political parties and appointment and training of authorised employees on November 9, 2013. Public notice regarding draft of electoral rolls and process of inviting claims and objections will start from November 16, 2013. Last date for accepting claims and objection is November 27, 2013. Last date for disposal of claims and objections is December 2. Ward-wise supplementary electoral rolls will be prepared by December 4, 2013. Work of printing supplementary electoral rolls and attaching them to main electoral rolls will be done on December 6, 2013. Final electoral rolls will be published on December 7, 2013.
