State’s farmer Jiya Lal felicitated at Gujarat Summit

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi lauded efforts of state’s farmer Shri Jiya Lal Rahangdale for propagating organic farming and preparing organic products at “Vibrant Gujarat World Agriculture Summit” held recently at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. Shri Modi presented a cheque of Rs. 51 thousand, letter of citation and memento to Shri Jiya Lal.

Progressive farmers, scientists, intellectuals, educationists, policymakers and industrialists participated in the summit.

Farmer Shri Jiyalal of village Bagadmara in Balaghat district was among farmers who represented Madhya Pradesh in the summit. Shri Jiya Lal who owns only 5 acre agriculture land grows vegetables instead of paddy. He never uses chemical fertilisers and pesticides and grows vegetables only using organic manure and pesticides. Earlier, farmer Shri Jiya Lal has been felicitated by Madhya Pradesh government for outstanding works in organic farming sector.
