Over Rs. 2 lakh billing in 2 power theft cases at Bhopal

During checking by vigilance team in Indrapuri and Punjabi Bagh areas of Bhopal, power theft was detected in meters of 2 consumers. Bills worth Rs. 2 lakh 32 thousand 782 were served on these consumers.

One of these consumers at Punjabi Bagh had tampered with dial counter by making a hole in the back side of the meter. Billing of Rs. one lakh 92 thousand was done on consumption of 16 kilowatt power load by 6 tenants of the building. Another consumer at Indrapuri had meddled with PCB place of meter to stop reading. He was billed Rs. 40 thousand 782.
