Gumashta registration process online from today

System to benefit about 3 lakh shops and establishments every year

Simplifying process of issuance of Gamashta licences for shops, commercial establishments, Bhojanalaya, hotels etc, it is being made online from September 10. Forms for Gumashta registration, renewal and applications for changes in registration forms can be done directly online by concerning establishments on Labour Department’s website http://labour.mp.gov.in/.

On online application, applicant will get a docket number. Through it, applicant will be able to apprise of status of application. Applicant will also be apprised about receipt, approval or rejection of application through SMS on mobile. Applicant will get barcoded computerised registration certificate.

Applicant can apply directly to Public Service Centre or District Labour Office also. Besides, applicant will also get information about online registration process, required documents and fee also at these places. Such applicants will also be apprised about receipt, approval or rejection of application through SMS on mobile and provided barcoded computerised registration certificates.

It is noteworthy that about 10 lakh shops and establishments are registered under Gumashta Act in the state at present. Registration is for 5 years. Therefore, about 2 lakh shops and establishments apply for renewal every year. Apart from it, about one lakh applications are also received for new registrations. Thus, the online registration process will benefit about 3 lakh shops and establishments every year.
