Rs. 1500 crore investment proposals for 16 special tourism zones in MP

Provision of additional subsidy and tax exemptions to investors

Madhya Pradesh holds an important position from tourism point of view. Natural beauty all over the state has been attracting tourists and now big industrial houses are also coming forward to investment in Madhya Pradesh. During last 6 months, groups like Taj, Oberoi and Essel World have proposed Rs. 1500 investment in the state.

It is noteworthy that Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation has identified 16 special zones in the state for attracting private investment. Investors are given additional subsidy and tax exemptions in these zones. Investors interested in these zones can either buy land or acquire the same on 90-year lease.

Tourism Development Department has declared Indira Sagar, Ban Sagar, Gandhi Sagar, Khajuraho, Datia, Orchha, Sanchi, Mandu, Tawa Nagar, Tamia-Patalkot, Salkanpur, Chitrakoot, Panna, Choral, Maheshwar and Amarkantak as special tourism zones.
