Strict action against 11 MNREGA officers

Strict action is being taken in the state against officers committing negligence in implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. In the context, orders for strict action against 11 officers have been given. It is noteworthy that show cause notices have been issued to 60 accountants and accounts officers only a week ago.

Orders have been issued to terminate services of three contractual officers including a sub-engineer, an assistant project officer and an accountant. Contractual sub-engineer Sushri Vijaya Sharma posted at Kailaras Janpad Panchayat in Shivpuri district had committed gross negligence of not sanctioning even a single work so far. Assistant project officer of Ater Janpad in Bhind district Shri Mukesh Rajoriya and accountant Shri Umesh Sharma were found to be committing negligence regularly.

Sub-engineers of Kailaras Janpad Panchayat in Shivpuri district Shri Sadashiv Sharma and Shri B.R. Sharma are being sent back to their parent departments due to disinterest in works and not starting works in panchayats. Orders have also been issued to send back sub-engineers of Nagod Janpad Panchayat in Satna District Shri Dwarkendra Singh and Shri B.L. Gupta to their parent departments due to indifference towards work.

Shri M.S. Baghel, Shri Ritesh Kumar, Shri Mukesh Verma and Shri Mansharam of Barwani, Harda, Rajghat and Balaghat districts have been issued show cause notices with warning of disciplinary action asking them to reply by July 18.
