As many as 2525 surgeries including 657 major and 1868 minor ones were performed during June in hospitals affiliated to Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. As many as 14 thousand 814 tests were also conducted in affiliated hospitals. According to college Dean, 424 major surgeries have been performed in Hamidia Hospital and 233 in Sultania Lady Hospital affiliated to the college. Similarly, 1049 minor surgeries were performed in Hamidia and 819 in Sultania. In both the hospitals, 37 thousand 618 OPD and 4469 indoor patients registered.
Eight major and 68 minor dental surgeries were performed in Hamidia Hospital. Similarly, 9 major and 24 minor burn and plastic surgeries were conducted. In all, 25 major and 29 minor cardiothoresic surgeries were also performed. In the hospital 27 major and 71 minor ENT surgeries, 25 major and 260 minor eye surgeries were conducted in Hamidia hospital. Similarly, 148 major and 147 minor surgeries were conducted by orthopaedics department, 140 major and 380 minor surgeries by surgery department and 42 major and 70 minor surgeries were performed by paediatrics surgery department. Treatment was provided to 938 patients through 60 cobalt machines by radiotherapy department.
During medical examination, 153 dialysis, 15 endoscopies, 12 fibre optic endoscopies, 6 skin spear, 21 cartilage, 3 halter monitoring, 412 echo doppler, 3 TMT, 12 thousand 397 X-rays, 1399 sonographies, 57 colour doppler, 5 reference, 5 L.R.P. surgeries, 4 skin smear and 322 CT scans were performed.
