Girl losing parents to get job

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to provide permanent government job to Snehlata of Gwalior who has lost both her parents in Uttarakhand calamity. Now, only two sisters have been left in the family. Snehlata is the elder sibling. Snehlata is among those who have lost everything in Uttarakhand calamity. Her tale is heart-rending. Her parents had gone on pilgrimage in Uttarakhand. When Snehlata’s parents did not return home even after relief and rescue works, she went to Uttarakhand searching them.

She was detected by Madhya Pradesh’s relief and rescue team and brought to state’s relief camp at Shanti Kunj, Haridwar. Snehlata met the Chief Minister when he visited Haridwar. He was much moved by her plight. Shri Chouhan consoled her saying that she should not feel lonely. The Chief Minister and his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh brought Snehlata with them by Boeing plane to Bhopal. Shri Chouhan said that death of both parents is a major tragedy in one’s life. It cannot be compensated. But the State Government will extend maximum cooperation to the bereaved girl. Shri Chouhan said that a special campaign will be launched to trace state’s missing persons in Uttarakhand.
