Digitisation of maps and khasra-map linking work completed in 42 districts

Bhopal.

The State Government is undertaking work of digitisation of land maps and khasra-map linking in all the districts of the state under National Land Record Modernisation Programme. So far, work of digitisation of land maps and khasra-map linking has been completed in 42 districts under the programme started from April 2008. Of these, linked khasras-maps have already been hosted on website. Work is under progress in remaining 8 district including Guna, Ashok Nagar, Dewas, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Panna and Damoh.

Revenue Minister Shri Karan Singh Verma informed that NIC has developed land-map software (3R4B2) for interlinking computerised khasras and digitised maps, updating digital data of digital maps as per divisions effected in khasras and providing A-4 size printouts to applicants. Training of this software has been imparted to junior entry operators and computer-enabled patwaris in all the districts.

The districts which are on the web through linking include Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Shajapur, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ujjain, Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Betul, Hoshangabad, Harda, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Dindori, Rewa, Sidhi and Satna. Map digitisation work is being done by 5 companies.
