Rajya Shiksha Kendra released fund worth more than 1 crore to establish libraries at primary and middle schools. This amount will be deposited in the accounts of school management societies of the schools directly.
These school management societies will also purchase furniture and books for the libraries on the basis of directives of Rajya Shiksha Kendra.
Rajya Shiksha Kendra sources said that there is provision of establishment of library in the work plan of the year 2013-14. The primary schools will be provided Rs3000 and middle schools will get Rs10000 for establishing library. The primary school management committees will purchase furniture of Rs1000 and books worth Rs2000 while middle schools will be given Rs1000 for furniture and Rs9000 for books.
District level book camps will be organized at primary and middle schools to provide books and furniture to the committees.
