Chief
Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Atal Jyoti Abhiyan to
ensure 24X7 power supply in Panna district today. He also inaugurated
water augmentation scheme of Panna city. He said that now all the
villages in Panna district will get power for 24 hours. The State
Government has fulfilled its promise made 5 years ago. For this, feeders
have been separated at a cost of Rs. 11 thousand crore. Now, every
village in Panna district will get power and every field water.
Additional irrigation capacity has been created in Panna district by
completing 55 irrigation projects.
The
Chief Minister said wheat is being procured from farmers at the rate of
Rs. 1500 per kg by giving bonus of Rs. 150 per quintal by the State
Government. Rs. 150 per quintal bonus will also be given on paddy
procurements from next year. Now, farmers will get electricity bills
only twice year.
The
Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to ensure
development of every poor person. Development is meaningless unless its
benefits reach the poor. From June 1, wheat will be provided to poor
persons at the rate of Rs. 1 per kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg. Patta of
land on which poor people are residing will be given to them. Over 14
lakh girls have been benefited under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. He sid that Rs.
11.70 crore has been sanctioned for construction of roads for
development of Panna city. Rs. 819 crore has been sanctioned for tourism
development. At the outset, the Chief Minister performed Kanya Poojan
and later distributed benefits among beneficiaries of various schemes.
Energy
Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that Panna is the 13th district to
be benefited by Atal Jyoti Abhiyan. By June, 24X7 power supply will be
started in all the 50 districts of the state. From next year, 17500 MW
power will be generated in the state. Former Minister Shri Kusum Singh
Mehdele also addressed the programme. Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram
Krishna Kusmaria, Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Brijendra
Pratap Singh, MP Shri Jitendra Singh Bundela, MLA Shri Rajesh Verma,
Zila Panchayat Chairpersons Smt. Sudama Bai Patel and Nagar Palika
Chairperson Smt. Sharda Pathak were also present on the occasion.
