The design of the Golf Course has been prepared by M/s. Pacific Coast Design of Australia, an expert in International Golf Course Design. M/s. ACE Golf Foundation and various other consultants have also rendered their services in the making of this Golf Course.
The course layout embraces natural terrain of undulating and rolling slopes, along a valley and dry stream beds while following the contours up the rise towards the base of the hills, where the club house sits proudly overlooking the course. The two nines are balanced to offer consistency and challenges, while still providing enjoyment for the novice golfer or the experienced regular player.
The hills offer a striking feature and are naturally integrated into the golf course, commencing with the first tees, set along the saddle of a prominent ridge, the tee boxes offer stunning views of the 1st hole, the overall golf course and the emerging city in the distance. From this first tee shot until the last putt is dropped, the visual splendor of the Kharghar Hills is ever present and the golf course wanders and rolls along the foothills.
The course is blend of holes full of fun and intrigue with all the holes having a character and individuality of their own. After the breathtaking first hole with a tee shot played to a valley 40 meters below, the course them swings downhill.
The 4th hole then gently climbs its way back up the valley towards the major hill formation with views of the famous Pandav Caves. Ever present on holes 3, 4 and 5 is a meandering stream that crosses the fairways, although dry for much of the year, its location has an impact on each of the holes – strategically.
It is upon the golfer whether to avoid the stream on a tee shot or an approach shot, even though it is a key component of these early holes, before returning to torment the golfers on the 9th hole.
The 6th hole is as picturesque as it is devilish; this par 3 requires a water carry from the tee to a green that appears surrounded by sand.Once on the green, the gentle but tricky slopes require careful consideration.The 7th hole is the golfers’ first experience with the exposed natural rock zones and is a continuous feature of the lower holes.
These zones are designed with the engineering purpose of flood detention during the monsoons, but are visually stunning and create a hazard unique to golf in India.
Apart from the holes that play amongst the rock detention area, the rest of the back nine rolls its way gently up and down the main valley with a variety of holes that bend one way or the other and require careful shot placement, and strategic golf management to reap the rewards of good ball striking.
The Kharghar Valley Golf Course houses well equipped maintenance shed. Having whether monitoring system, control room of Computerized Irrigation System, Grass cutting equipments, all imported irrigation system with pipes, sprinklers and automatic pump system, has been installed.
The course has been boldly landscaped with the planting of almost 20,000 trees and 140,000 ornamental grasses. These plantations soften the harshness of the surrounding landscape and provide a buffer between the natural environment and the manmade one of the burgeoning city.
The Kharghar Valley GOLF COURSE is the compliment to the already flourishing recreational stretch of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Moreover, it will compliment Navi Mumbai's already established stature of being an extraordinarily well planned city, with classy recreational facilities.

Opened for Golf aficionados since 1st January 2013 the Kharghar Valley Golf Course offers them all the facilities, including the Club House on pay and play basis. Presently 11 holes are ready and handicaps can play two rounds of 9 holes to complete an inning. Two holes are reserved for the training of amateurs for which they have to pay nominal fees. The golf course is buzz with the budding golfers on week-ends. The fever is catching fast. The world-class golfers are expected to step on this virgin green tee in the near future.
The course is planned for 18 holes and the CIDCO is making headway towards its goal. The consultants are at their level best to take the playing facilities and opportunities of exposure to the concerned. Undoubtedly the sport of the elite class is going to prosperous here taking Navi Mumbai on the International Golf Map to give the city yet another dimension.
