A deaf and dumb girl belonging to Somgarh village in remote area of Betul district was raped on 17 December.
Multai police have arrested the accused Raju Gaund and presented him in court from where he was sent to jail.
According to police, an accused Raju son of Siri Gaund finding a deaf and dumb girl alone at 8pm had raped on December 17 at Somgarh village under Multai police station of Betul district.
Multai SHO Madan Mohan Choudhary said that police on the complaint of family members of the victim had lodged complaint under section 376, 450 of IPC. Police arrested the accused and presented him in court from where he was sent jail on court order.
