The local citizens expressing their resentment gathered at Chhatri Naka at 1pm on Tuesday and took out a huge rally via various places in the town.
They had gathered to express their anger over killing of Indian army jawans by Pakistani soldiers recently.
The residents burnt effigy of Pakistan and later handed over a memorandum to tehsildar addressed to president of India. They said that Pakistani soldiers earlier several times attacked on Indian soldiers and presently two Indian soldiers were attacked and killed brutally. They condemned the act of Pakistani soldiers.
The activists demanded that India should give proper reply to Pakistan on the heinous act.
Copies of memorandum were also sent to prime minister, defence minister and foreign affairs minister. Later, they observed two minutes silence to pay tribute to the martyrs and recited Vande Matram.
