After
the election for mandi director the local residents were waiting and
speculating that who will be chairman and vice chairman after the
elections.
The
election process was started in the presence of election officer at
11am in which Lalitabai elected unopposed as chairperson.
As
soon as the process of counting of votes was started for the post of
vice chairman then tension was prevailing on Mandi premises because
there were number of claimants for the post.
Congress
supported candidate Manohar Sharma had filed nomination for vice
chairman post on the other Irfan Gauri also filed his nomination for
the same post. Irfan Gauri got 7 votes but Manohar Sharma did not get
any vote.
Congress
leader Rajesh Sahele and BJP rural mandal president argued with each
other but administration intervening into the matter separated
activists of both parties. Police force was also used to control the
situation.
BJP
activists along with mandi directors took out procession after
declaration of results. Former BJP district president Umakant Sharma
was also present during procession.
Congress
supported directors did not cast their votes in the election process of
vice chairman post and alleged on the administration about partiality.
They lodged a complaint at police station.
Complainant Rajesh Sahele, Awadh Sharma, Ashok Tyagi and Manohar Sharma said that administration was favouring BJP.
These
persons in the application said that BJP leaders Ramesh Yadav and
Kailash Sharma clashed with Congress leaders and threatened to kill.
