Student creates ruckus at polytechnic

A student in drunken state created ruckus during examination of MTT fifth semester at polytechnic college on Saturday. The student during checking misbehaved with the lecturers and tried to clash with them.

The teachers also beat the student who sustained injuries at his leg and eye during manhandling.

The student Sharadnath of Sant Ravidas ward, Sagar lodged complaint against the teachers at Khurai police station.

Police registered cases against hostel superintendent Dinesh Dubey, lecturer UN Dubey and Ritesh alias Amit Dubey under sections 323, 294, 506, 34 of IPC.

At around two dozen teachers and employees of polytechnic college after examination reached police station and registered case against Sharadnath. Police on the complaint of Ritesh alias Amit Dubey and examination in charge Dinesh Dubey have registered a case under section 323, 294 and 506 of IPC and under section 353 of disturbance in government work. 

The college teachers through the principal had registered complaint at the police station when the students had beaten up a caretaker Suresh Sharma at hostel number 1 on December 9.

The teachers expressing their resentment handed over a memorandum to SDM Kamal Solanki demanding that the fake case against them should be withdrawn. They also said that if the case will not be cancelled then they will boycott the examination.

SDM Kamal Solanki said that the doctors found alcohol in medical examination of student. The SHO has been directed to investigate the matter seriously.

Sources said that earlier the students had beaten a staff member of college. The investigation will also be investigated that why did police not take action in earlier case.
