JABALPUR.
As
many as three persons including Anooppur Janpad Panchayat vice chairman
and BJP leader Jitendra Bahadur Singh died in road accident when a
truck and safari vehicle collided at Sadafal turn near Kundam at 12.40
at night on Friday.
The
driver and three other passengers boarded in the safari also sustained
critical injuries who were admitted to district hospital Victoria.
The deceased including BJYM leader Shatrughan Yadav, 28, of Kotma, Anooppur, Vishnu Dutt, 45, Bhaluwada, Kotma, Anooppur.
Police have registered the accident case and sent the bodies to Kundam hospital for postmortem.

Harinarayanchari Mishra after receiving information sent the
subordinate officials towards the spot and directed them to arrest the
accused truck driver.
The
truck driver fled from the spot after accident who was nabbed at Bloom
chowk. The truck was loaded with wood and was going towards Jabalpur.
Kundam
police said that tata safari was coming from Jabalpur and on the way
the driver of truck MP-20/HB/0919 driving the truck rashly and
negligently hit the tata safari.
The
passengers boarded in tata safari including Jitendra Bahadur Singh, 42,
Shatrughan Yadav, 28, all belong to Bhaluwada, Anooppur sustained
critical injuries and died on the spot.
The
driver Sohan Chouhada, 32, BP Tiwari, 45, Sitasharan Sen, 45 of Kotma
Talmi sustained injuries and police took them to government Victoria
hospital.
Sources
said that the driver Sohan Chouhada had purchased tata safari vehicle
before 15 days and he was himself driving it. Both the vehicles were
coming from Jabalpur side and the truck driver hit the tata safari when
it crossed the truck as a result safari vehicle got damaged.
Police
made panchnama of the bodies and sent them for postmortem. The truck
driver Mohan Singh has been arrested and police started investigation.
