Debate competition held

BETUL, December 12. 

Late Madhulika Agrawal memorial inter school debate competition on ‘corruption a big hurdle in country’s development’ was organized at New Betul Higher Secondary School, Kothibazar on Tuesday.

Government girls’ college principal Vidya Choudhary was the chief guest on the occasion. 
The programme was started with lighting lamp in front of picture of goddess Saraswati.

Later, floral tribute paid to late Madhulika Agrawal.

The chief guest addressing the programme said that every citizen of country should protest against corruption being united.
Expressing her views the chief guest Vidya Choudhary said that all the citizens of the country should protest against corruption as a result development in the country must be seen.

All should take pledge to root out corruption from the country.

Chief guest Vidya Choudhary, special guests including New Betul high school association president Radhakrishna Garg, Bijasani Mata Mandir Samiti president Pt Deepak Sharma, Rishu Naidu, jury members-Akash Shrivastava, journalist Rakesh Mourya and Dilip Sikarwar were welcomed at the programme.

The students of RD public school, Red Rose school, Chhatrapati higher secondary school, Unique higher secondary school, Agrasen higher secondary school, New Betul high school and New Betul Ganj participated in debate competition.

Swati Gohite of Red Rose school secured first position speaking in favour of corruption, Srishti Tiwari of Red Rose school also stood first speaking opposite of corruption.

Harsha Mankar of Chhatrapati school remained second speaking in favour of corruption and Sheela Panwar of New Betul high school secured second position speaking in opposition.
