Cold wave sweeps Betul, minor girl dies

Cold waves are hitting the city badly as severe biting cold claimed life of a minor girl belonging to Pardi community.

Cold waves have forced the residents to remain at home and to wear woollen clothes even in the day.

The severe cold can be guessed with the incident that a minor girl of Pardi community died because of biting cold in the district.

A youth belonging to Pardi community was admitted to district hospital as he was badly affected with cold. A minimum of 7.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 25.2 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded on Thursday in the district.

The entire northern part of the country is facing severe cold because of snow fall and along with this the cold waves from north have also affected Madhya Pradesh.

A drastic fall in mercury was registered since last week in minimum and maximum temperatures as a result the entire area is facing severe biting cold.

There is panic situation among the administrative officials after the death of minor girl because of biting cold.

According to Pardi rehabilitation association, Betul president Alasya Pardi in the letter to collector informed that the Pardis are living in open on the ground of excellence school so they are facing severe cold.

According to Alasya Pardi, the minor girl Pakhandi daughter of Narmadi Pardi got affected with cold waves at night and died.

A 17-year-old Lokesh of the same community has also been admitted to hospital as he was affected with severe cold. Alasya Pardi has requested the collector to provide fire wood and blankets to Pardi community people so that they can be saved from severe cold.
